Junior Counsel
Ma. Lourdes C. Polido (LCP) is a Junior Counsel of the Litigation and Arbitration Group, handling civil, criminal, and administrative cases.
She is also part of teams in the Corporate, Tax, Construction and Special Projects Group, where she guides clients on anti-trust and competition law, having served as the Mergers & Acquisitions Assistant Division Chief of the Philippine Competition Commission.
Prior to joining Libra Law, LCP practiced tax and corporate law (2013 to 2016) at SyCip, Gorres, Velayo & Co. (Ernst & Young - Manila). Her work covered tax compliance review, tax planning, due diligence, investment advisory and tax advocacy. She also practiced family and labor law (2012 to 2013) in a Makati-based law firm.
LCP is an accredited lecturer on Competition Law under the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Program (MCLE). She also teaches at the Adamson University - College of Law.
LCP obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2012. She acquired her Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2006. She also acquired her Chartered Trust and Estate Planner (CTEP) Certification (2018) from the American Academy of Financial Management.
